Fox Buys NewRoo
I'm late to the story of Fox Interactive allegedly buying NewRoo. While nothing has been formally announced by either party, implying that the deal isn't quite done, from what I know of NewRoo founders Brian Norgard and Dan Gould, the pesky and persistent pair will make it happen.I speak from personal experience. They chased me down at an O'Reilly conference in San Francisco last year, as well as again after that here in San Diego. I cheerfully spent time over the last few months providing the smart duo some advice on where they might take the company in the aggregator space, advice that they were free to take or discard. So, while I can't claim responsibility for Fox's interest, I'm still delighted at this outcome.
