NY Times Concedes Internet Not Fad
In a press release today the N.Y. Times Company concedes that this internet thing may not be a fad:NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 13, 2006--The New York Times announced today that it will change its financial tables, beginning April 4, in the daily Tuesday through Saturday editions of the newspaper and at the same time will introduce a robust package of on-line interactive tools and features at NYTimes.com/business.Reading through all the happy talk, the Times is finally dropping its daily stock tables. It has apparently noticed that most of the Internet-less sorts who still scan that sort of thing are no longer capable of reading such tiny print.
