Tony Perkins Fears Me

A Valleywag post this morning on the allegedly small and self-referencing traffic at AlwaysOn had an Alexa graph comparison with Mike Arrington’s wildly popular TechCrunch. Hmmm,  I thought, while I have nowhere near the reach of Mike’s site, I wonder how I’d do against Always-On.

Here is the Alexa answer:

Yo, Accenture, you know where to find me.

  1. please i beg of you, do not link to or mention valleywag again. the tech-folk-as-celebrity meme is nauseating beyond comprehension, as is the journalistic approach of faux-familliarity (i.e. referring to people the writer has never met by first name, etc). please, if we ignore this vomit-inducing tripe, it will go away on its own.

  2. You know, I’ve had a bunch of people say the same thing in email. Remarkable the level of dislike for Nick’s new site. Maybe I need to start doing some more Voldemort-ish, like The Site That Cannot Be Named.
Somewhat more seriously, I have very limited patience for that sort of thing as well. As I said in my original post on the subject yesterday, while there was some mildly entertaining stuff there, it was mostly missed. And the “we’re all buddies here” style does diddly for me.
