Quel Surprise: Google Absent from List of Shareholder-Friendly Companies

Despite its prospectus claims that it would be different and more friendly to shareholders, Google has been a bust when it comes to the blocking and tackling part of dealing with equity owners. That was further reinforced this week by a new Institutional Investor list of the U.S.’s most shareholder-friendly companies. While Microsoft, Yahoo, Ebay, and Amazon all make the list, Google is nowhere to be seen.
