Dow Jones Plans to Breathe In and Out Regularly

Like most sensible people, my first reaction to the following headline today was “You mean they aren’t already”?:

Dow Jones Plans to Merge Online and Print Divisions

Okay, I knew they weren’t already merged, but you take my point. In the very near future the idea that media companies separated text-distribution divisions depending on the medium over which the text was distributed will seem like fodder for late-night jokes.

    Yes. However, let’s be honest with ourselves. The guy who brings this particular piece of hilarity to the future late-night-show am writer’s meeting…might not last too long at the comedy racket. ;)
