Crazy Del.icio.us

I see that social bookmarking service del.icio.us has teamed up with PR Newswire (my favorite firehose) to allow easier bookmarking of wire copy.  Not to dismiss the idea, because one way of breaking out of the blog-o-sphere echo chamber is go to new sources like this, but are there really still people who use del.icio.us without a bookmarklet of some kind?

To return to the point, this could be interesting if adopted. If you think of bloggers as editors, with Digg being just one example,  the best way to allow true collaborative news filtering — and real reconstruction of the fables — to take place would be to set the blog-o-sphere loose on an existing wire service.
