Site Analytics

This one’s only for folks with an interest in dumpster diving in your referrer logs. While I use various website analytics apps for this site, including Measuremap and Google Analytics, but an awful lot of the time I want to just go straight to my traffic logs and do some basic crunching. For that sort of thing I use Xlogan, a freeware app that, while nowhere near as feature-rich as the best commercial apps, it is straightforward to use, and does more than enough for my purposes on most occasions. There is a new version of the app out, so definitely think about checking it out.

  1. Paul, do you know when Measuremap will be available to the public at large? I signed up for an invitation months ago, but no response yet.

Hey Kevin — I thought it would be available months ago, so I’m the wrong one to ask. I’ve been using it for quite a while now, and while I generally like it, the service still has work to do in making it more responsive under load.

  3. Thank you for your response Paul. :)
