Dave Barry on Blogging

Columnist Dave Barry recently announced that he would not return to his regular column after his current hiatus, but he remained very active during the period on his blog. Why? Here’s Dave:

I like blogging because it’s flexible. Some days you do a lot. Some days you don’t do any. I also like the interaction. If you write an entry and let people comment on it, it’s amazing how funny it can get. The Internet is a good thing for people who write.

Speaking as a former twice-a-week, 770-word-per-installment columnist, I couldn’t agree more.
