Here is the best quote in a story today in the L.A. Times about Craigslist-induced classified troubles at the San Francisco Chronicle (which, coming from the circulation-challenged LAT, is a fine irony). It comes from the paper’s publisher, Frank Vega:

“I hate to read the obits because half of those people are our subscribers.”
