One day other software vendors will catch on to the instantly-applicable excuse in the news that Google Reader, the company’s RSS reader, is really just a quick-and-dirty app built on top of the company’s feed API. After all, now Google gets to say that its crummy Google Reader is really just a demo of the API, not an application at all.
