Google Calendar & the Kazoo Chorus

The drop-day for Google Calendar is imminent, or so I’ve been told now by so many people that it’s begun to get silly. People used to say that Apple was a ship that leaked from the top, but I’m beginning to think that Google is a ship that leaks just plain everywere. There is virtually nothing, or so it sometimes seems, that Google is doing that someone at Google, or close to Google, hasn’t tirelessly tipped to me in recent months.

Yes, rumor-driven buzz-building can work. But it’s one thing to bang the jungle drum judiciously about upcoming product releases, and it’s another thing altogether to turn your whole fricking company into a kazoo chorus of aspiring leakers.
