There is a story in the December 12th BusinessWeek where an Agilent support engineer says he hasn’t laid eyes on his boss in three years. Leaving aside the obvious jokes about absentee managers, it is an interesting question in distributed organizations with remote employees: What is the longest you have gone in your working, non-holiday life without seeing your then-boss?
