Anyone out there with some insight on vast.com? I have had a few people tell me that I should know about about them, but I know next to diddly. A small-ish group of smart folks with some interesting ideas & technology in search is what I’ve been told, but I’d happily hear more, or be told otherwise.
Intros? Info? Go ahead.
[Update] The lazyweb has weighed in and the answer is to be found in the comments to this post. Vast was apparently until recently known as Omni-Explorer, the second coming of Naval Ravikant, ex of Epinions. Whatever the merits of the technology, the company apparently has a rapacious spidering tool that has eaten more than its fair share of megabytes from many sites out there.
