It’s Quiet at Microsoft. Too Quiet?

I’ve had some interesting conversations lately with a number of folks who are much closer to Microsoft than I am. Not to be offensively vague, but more than a few people are hinting at something significant impending on the financial/strategic front.

Selling MSN? Dialing back R&D to a more reasonable number? Doing something greenfield? A DNA-disrupting acquisition? Hmmm …
