No Blackberry for Benioff

There is a long (and surprisingly buttoned-down) interview in the weekend S.F. Chronicle with the usually ebullient Marc Benioff, CEO and founder of Salesforce.com. Without getting into the investment aspects (Benioff says he isn’t anti-acquisition when it comes to Oracle), he does say that he doesn’t carry a cellphone or a Blackberry any more. I wonder how many technology CEOs can say the same thing?

There’s nothing better than getting off the network. Today, I don’t carry a cell phone or a Blackberry, because those precious moments that I have walking down the street or being in the car, I value. As soon as I get into the office or home, I’m connected.
