CEOs & the Top of the Conference Pops

According to PR firm Burston-Marsteller, the average U.S. CEO receives 3.4 invitations to speak at conferences per week. That works out to 175 conference invitations a year, which is more conferences than Marc Canter and David Hornik attend — combined.

Here are the conferences that top the list as being most influential for CEOs and C-level execs, according to respondents to the B-M survey:

What is most interesting about this list is how homogenous and, darn it, uninteresting it is. While they may be top of the CEO pops parade, none of ‘em do much for me.
