Gladwell vs. Surowiecki: The wisdom of pop sociologists

This must have seemed like a dream “book club” discussion at Slate: James “Wisdom of Crowds” Surowiecki vs. Malcolm “Blink” Gladwell. Well, the dream was better than the reality. While the discussion is intermittently interesting, it starts to feel vapid and arm-waving — too much pop sociology — before you make it all the way through the first day’s entries.
