Mortality in Iraq
I'm going to break two personal blogging rules here, and point to a piece (in PDF) that a) touches on political issues, and b) is somewhat academic, but this one is worth the trouble. It's from the current issue of U.K. medical journal The Lancet, and it is a study of civilian deaths in Iraq before and after the March 2003 entry of U.S. military forces. Supporters and detractors alike should scan it, if only to understand why they agree or disagree with the conclusions.
