Google Desktop Search: Internet O/S

Been pressed for time last 24 hours, so didn’t mention this sooner …. but, in case you have been hiding in a spider hole you may not have noticed that Google has launched its much-anticipated desktop search tool. So far, it looks interesting — more when I’ve had a chance to play more.

My biggest surprise? The web interface. Color me surprised but impressed that Google has stuck so firmly to the idea that the Internet is the OS — no Win32 UI for Google desktop search. Uh-uh.
