I-Neighbors and Local Distance

Interesting article in today’s NY Times on I-Neighbors and the idea of overlaying online local communities onto physical locales:

Mr. Gordon, 43, a business executive who lives in Lexington, Mass., sent an e-mail to his neighborhood’s list wondering if any recreational tennis players wanted to play. Within 24 hours, he had two responses from people living within two blocks of him. Those weekly tennis matches have continued for two years.
