Two boom-time VCs have now gone on to real jobs. Steve Harmon, perhaps the quintessential boom boy, is newly at LiveDeal as V.P. of business development. Andrew Anker, ex- of Wired and then a VC at August Capital, is now E.V.P. (he gets an extra “e”) of corporate development at Six Apart, the makers of content management tool Movable Type.
This may or may not warrant schadenfreude from entrepreneurs, but it is a good sign from a venture perspective that late-arrival partners and capital are slowly moving out of that over-full business.
