MLS Trends -- Does Contrarianism Pay?
The volume of new Canadian real estate listings in major markets is on a tear, as the following graph shows. Among other things, what I find interesting here is how listing volume is speedy upward, but sticky downward. It also shows that contrarianism generally pays, with most markets having exhibited near-term price troughs in the period leading up the listing volume trough.
