Microsoft’s Tech-Ed Blog

Microsoft did an interesting thing at this year’s Tech-Ed conference. It asked people at Tech-Ed who were blogging about the conference to send Microsoft a link back to the RSS feed for their blog. In turn, Microsoft incorporated those micro news feeds into its site at TechEdBloggers.net.

In effect, Microsoft has gained free intensive news coverage of its own event. Granted, some editing and pruning is required, but it’s an intriguing attempt to rethink “flood the zone” coverage in news.
